Bill Hauser

Bill Hauser, Head Coach

Bill Hauser is founder and head coach of Mid-Atlantic Multisport, LLC.  Mid-Atlantic Multisport (www.midatlanticmultisport.com) provides individualized endurance coaching services to athletes of all ages and abilities.

Bill has been active in endurance sports, both as a coach and competitor, for over 15 years.  He has experience coaching athletes of all ability levels, from beginners to elite-level competitors.  

Bill is one of a select number of coaches in the United States certified by USA Triathlon, the national governing body of the sport.  He also serves as the Head Triathlon Coach for the Southern New Jersey Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training Program. 

Bill was selected to the 2001, 2002 and 2003 Triathlon All-American Teams by USA Triathlon and represented the United States at the 2002 Long Course World Championship in Nice, France.  He has competed in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii three times and has run nearly 20 marathons around the world.  His Ironman PR is 9 hours 38 minutes and his marathon PR is 2 hours 42 minutes.

Bill serves on the USA Triathlon Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Region and publishes The Mid-Atlantic Monthly, an email newsletter for multisport athletes.

Mid-Atlantic Multisport coaching services are for athletes who want professionally designed, individualized training program which includes frequent interaction and close monitoring of their progress by an experienced, USAT-certified coach.

Includes:

  • Initial consultation to discuss your athletic background, goals and other training considerations
  • Custom-designed training program built around your key events
  • Testing to determine your proper heart rate training zones
  • Unlimited communication with your coach via email or phone
  • Individualized training session detail sent to you every two weeks, showing:

o        Detailed workout descriptions;

o        Applicable heart rate zones for each session; and

o        Distance and/or time for each session

  • Training and race day nutrition plans
  • Comprehensive strength training program
  • Taper and recovery strategies
  • Body maintenance and injury prevention guidance
  • Advice on race selection and equipment purchases
