Ironman Louisville 2010

Hi...wondering if anyone is planning on doing a 2010 Ironman - looking for a bike/run partner.

This will be my first full IM - looking for ideas/suggestions as far as where to get in the 100 mile

Last year while training for IMLP I did a few of my longer rides with organized groups/rides. It's great because you get to meet alot of great people, it's cheap, there is nutrition/rest stops for you to fuel up, they are well marked AND there is SAG support. Long rides suck alone but when youhave all the other people riding too, it's not so bad :)

Thanks Amanda...I was thinking that might be the way to go...group rides..but, don't know how to go about finding them...would you mind telling me which group rides you did??

I would just go on the

I would just go on the various local bike clubs websites and look at their events calendars for rides.  I would ride with the Delaware Valley Bike Club, Bucks Country, Bike Coalition of Philly and I did a ride in July called the French Creek something or other.  You can always post on here when you are looking to ride as well.  There may be someone that wants to join you!

I did Louisville the last two years. The best training course I found that matched the countours of the course was the old Nockamixon century loop by the subarban cyclist club. Last year i did it once. It woorked so well that as ppart of my trainig I did it three times leading up to the race.
